Rénoclimat in Quebec: when to use the program and when to contact ecoPlus Services
Rénoclimat is the Government of Quebec program for homeowners who want to improve the energy performance of their home and, when the program conditions are met, access certain financial assistance.
The program includes a home energy assessment, blower door testing, an evaluation report and personalized recommendations. The usual process is to complete a pre-renovation assessment, carry out eligible upgrades, and then complete a post-renovation assessment.
If your main goal is a Quebec residential rebate
If you own a home in Quebec and your priority is to participate in Rénoclimat or access financial assistance through the program, the best first step is to contact Rénoclimat directly before starting the work.
Visit the official Rénoclimat page from the Government of Quebec.
The complementary role of ecoPlus Services
ecoPlus Services is not the Rénoclimat service provider for subsidized residential assessments in Quebec. We can, however, support homeowners when a project requires complementary technical analysis or falls outside the standard scope of the program.
- Technical analysis before selecting renovation measures
- Prioritization of upgrades based on the building, comfort and energy costs
- Guidance on insulation, air sealing, ventilation and mechanical systems
- Guidance on electricity generation, including photovoltaic systems
- Support for multi-unit projects, Ontario mandates and MLI Select work
Why the distinction matters
A Rénoclimat assessment may support access to financial assistance when the program requirements are met. Complementary support from ecoPlus Services is intended to help clarify technical decisions, structure the renovation strategy and support more complex projects.
If you are unsure whether to start with Rénoclimat or with complementary support, contact us. We can help you identify the most appropriate path for your project.
